My name is Imelda Simon, but I also go by Mel. I'm a 24 year old Haitian American from South Florida and I’m also a Registered Nurse working at a Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Float Nurse. I love to travel, exercise, participate in outdoor recreational activities and most importantly, I love to SMILE/LAUGH. I believe that it is extremely important to be joyful in life regardless of circumstances. Regarding my spiritual journey, it’s still a struggle. A struggle with my flesh, consistency, faith, and much more. On February 26, 2021, I was baptized for the first time, and it was a life changing experience. However, my spiritual journey has still been a struggle. I’ve been focusing on all my earthly duties while neglecting my relationship with Christ. I’m trying not to be hard on myself because I know the spiritual journey is a lifelong and growing process. Thus why, I want to use my blog platform to help others who are also struggling with their walk with Christ. I want to share my spiritual journey and imperfections as a Christian woman to help readers know that they are not alone. I’ve been praying for this platform to make sure it aligns with God’s will. I know I will be judged and critique by some readers, but I am not afraid nor ashamed! My blog platform will be used for the glory of Christ 💗
“My imperfection does NOT define my love for Christ. I will continue to walk with Christ and embrace my imperfections. No Christian is perfect. However, as a believer I can use my overall imperfection as a testimony.” - Imelda Simon
